Dena+Ryan

Dena and Ryan are an incredible couple.  We had an amazing time during this shoot, time flew by. It was hard to put the camera down, especially since Dena can work it like the best of them.  Hope you enjoy it, and let us know what you think…

Amanda in Wonderland

Ok, now that all the madness of Alice in Wonderland has passed some what, it’s time to release our shoot.  Amanda’s wedding was two weeks ago and now we can show you some of her incredible bridals shot  back in February.  I was dying to put this post up because everyone was posting about this theme.  Amanda wanted to approach it in a different way, a bit more moody as in the original book so we took the Tim Burton approach.  So this was a challenge I was willing to take.  The back story for this shoot, is also pretty entertaining, I scouted a perfect location for weeks and found an incredible spot in one of the many nature preserves that DFW has to offer.  We had everything ready, but it was not to be, mother nature had other plans and sent a nice little shower the night before which put our location under 2 inches of muddy water and plunging temperatures of 35 degrees.  So the day of the shoot we scrambled to find a location, we did not had to look to hard since we found a cute little corner garden across from the brides parents home.

We had a blast on this shoot, and thank you Amanda for being such a good sport.  As always leave your comments, let us know what you think.

…and to show how much of a trooper amanda was, not only did she bare the freezing weather, she did the whole shoot wearing her 5 in heels.

Sneak Peak…Thomas and his men.

Here is a sneak peak of Thomas+Amanda’s wedding.  This is a shot of the guys as they waited for the bride.

Dirty Vegas

We had the opportunity to attend WPPI 2010 in Vegas this year and assisted Photobiz at their booth during the trade-show. We met a lot of new friends and enjoyed hanging out with some old ones, too. The PhotoBiz guys and a few of our new friends agreed to let us shoot them at night on the strip. Brave? Yes. Fun? Incredibly! Loren Callahan, Kimberly Person (Style Unveiled), Larry Perez and Tessa Rice are all fellow photographers that agreed to the madness.

Here are a few of the images we captured…

These are the PhotoBiz Boyz.  David, John, And Danny. We took this shot using a Canon 5DMkll, a Canon 580Exll flash triggered with AlienBees transmitter and receivers with a Honl 1/4 in. grid, on a Manfrotto mono pod.

Danny Allegrezza

This photo includes the PhotoBiz Boyz and good friend and awesome photographer Larry Perez from Kansas City.

During our trip we had the pleasure of making new friends such as photographer Loren Callahan and Kimberly Person (StyleUnveiled) of Seattle.

Atlanta was also represented on our shoot as we were joined by photographer friend Tessa Rice sporting her spiffy new ShootSac.

This shoot was an absolute blast.  So much that at next year’s WPPI we will have a night shoot workshop. If you are attenting WPPI next year and would like to attend the workshop.  Please feel free to contact me directly so that we may put you on our e-mail list.  As always feel free to leave your comments.

Jackie + Raul :O:

Jackie and Raul are simply a fantastic couple. Their wedding was recently featured in the launch issue of Brides of North Texas and we could not be happier. Their love for each other is contagious and we were lucky enough to have been there to capture their day.  It was wedding full of family, friends, and love.

Rachel+Paul

Rachel and Paul are an exceptional couple.  We have truly enjoyed all of their shoots and can’t wait for their big day.  They both trusted our artistic vision and gave us freedom to shoot.  Both are lovers of color and light and of course we took full advantage of this.  We incorporated all of those elements for a truly unique experience.  The light trails were created by slowing the shutter down and me running around like crazy with an led flash light. Enjoy and as always let us know what you think.

Azul

2009 was an incredible year for us. We had a our first magazine feature in Bodas USA, we worked with some amazing couples, had our first magazine shoot with Brides of North Texas, were featured photographer of the month on the PhotoBiz Blog, met some amazing photographers, assisted JVS and Anne with their lighting workshops, and to finish the year with a bang we have been nominated for photographer of the year by PhotoBiz.  This is a great honor for us to be categorized with some incredible photographers. This is an open competition so any one can vote.  We appreciate all votes and spreading the word.

Well to celebrate this year we are looking forward to the upcoming 2010.  Since I can remember I always wanted my own business and business cards. To me a business card speaks volumes, once in a while you find that perfect match.  To us Studio-Z was that match.  Zida Borcich and is an incredible individual that just clicked. Zida and her team took the time to understand what we wanted and design a business card that defined our studio.  She took it once step further and designed envelopes, letter heads, and Thank You cards.  The cards as well as the rest of the stuff make our logo stand out in a beautiful sea of blue foil a literal reflection of our work.  I wish I had the words to describe how happy we are with the final product, but since we are photographers and a photograph is worth a thousand words here they are…
